We were made very welcome on arrival by the very friendly owner. The place is very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location is central to bars and restaurants and shops. There was a choice of breakfast available, we opted for Full English, very nice!
We are regular visitors to Easedale Lodge so hopefully that is enough to tell you we like it!
The rooms are well furnished and very comfortable (our room was room 2) and breakfast is always tasty.
Easedale Lodge also has parking which is a great bonus in Ambleside.
Great location, lovely guest house, quality furnishings, comfy beds.
Sarah and Dave were very friendly hosts.
Free parking a big bonus.
This is the 3rd consecutive year we've stopped at Easedale Lodge and I'm pleased to say the standard of accommodation is still as high as when we first visited. Sarah is an excellent host, the rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are lovely. I thoroughly recommend a stay here!
Had a fabulous stay and only wish it had been for more than a night. A warm welcome, lovely room, tasty breakfast. Love the furniture and overall interior design and the nice personal touch with the sherry decanter! We'll be back.
Stayed for 2 nights during the week, excellent accommodation and tasty breakfast as usual, clean and warm. Great location for going into town. Will be back.
We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time here. The location is fabulous, the room lovely and comfortable and breakfast plentiful.
A very comfortable stay. The owners are friendly and welcoming, breakfasts are excellent and the bed is comfy. A big plus is the fact they have parking available which is a rarity in Ambleside. This was our second stay here. Highly recommended.
I would find it hard to fault our stay at Easedale Lodge. I am sure many people will have commented on how warm and welcoming Dave and Sarah are - they are genuinely happy to help and make you feel like you've known them for years.
The room was spotlessly clean, the decor of the B+B is wonderful with plenty of individual touches such as the glass doorknobs and local paintings. I like the way they've supported local craftsman and businesses when making alterations to Easedale Lodge.
Easedale lodge deserves full marks. Sarah and Dave are great hosts, welcoming and friendly. The house itself is very stylish, comfortable, clean and homely. I particular love the living room décor, in fact it’s given me a few ideas for my own home, I’m sure it would suit most tastes. There is plenty of information leaflets and guided walks provided. Even a top draw for the ‘little bits n bobs you may have forgotten’ and a complimentary glass of sherry if you fancy sitting in the living room.
Sarah is an excellent host who immediately made us feel welcome. The breakfast was great and nothing was too much trouble. The house has some lovely bespoke personal touches such as stained glass, mirrors, pictures etc. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.
We love getting away from the hustle and bustle, staying at Easedale Lodge the experience is fantastic. From the welcome you get right through to paying the bill , you've got nothing to worry about. Dave and Sarah are naturals.
We had a great welcome with lots of local information. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - so much choice and beautifully cooked and presented. We shall return.
Nothing is too much trouble for welcoming and friendly hosts, Sarah and Dave. B&B is beautifully decorated throughout, everywhere is spotlessly clean, bed was very comfy and there was a great choice of breakfast. Central village location handy for Lake Windemere, pubs and restaurants
Wonderful visit, its our 10th and we cant fault it. Great service, location and the house itself is the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed in. Very clean and immaculately presented with so much attention to detail. Thank you.
We stayed at Easedale lodge for a 3 night break recently but wished it could have been longer. If you are looking for a place to stay in Ambleside, then look no further. Easedale lodge ticks all the boxes. Just a few hundred yards from the town centre, and with safe parking, it's ideally situated. Warm friendly atmosphere, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are just scrumptious! We are going back again in November! Thank you Sarah and Dave.
'excellent choice' this is a lovely b and b right in the centre of ambleside. the owners are friendly and the rooms are done to a high spec, we have stayed a number of occasions and would recommended it to anyone.
Thanks for a perfect stay in Ambleside. Lovely room, warm welcome and delicious gluten free breakfast provided. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay and would highly recommend.
Our second visit to Easedale Lodge and yet again we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. On arrival we received a warm welcome and shown to our cosy room overlooking this lovely village. Sarah and Dave are very knowledgeable about the local area and provided many suggestions for eating out, walks, places to visit, etc. which allowed us to get the most out of our time in Ambleside and surrounding area. The breakfast here is excellent, a great full English that keeps you going well into the mid afternoon. Thank you both for a lovely break, see you next year.
Many thanks again for a great stay, you have got great furnished, well appointed rooms and a very clean and well presented B and B. A very well cooked and well served breakfast was a great start to the day. A B and B with car parking in Ambleside is a real plus point. Many thanks to both of you for a really warm welcome.
'Beautiful home. Comfortable clean and lovely owners who make you welcome and your stay that much more an enjoyable experience. Perfect location for lake Windemere and the surrounding area.
We had a fantastic stay at Easedale Lodge. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We were also extremely impressed with the little extras the were available, a draw full of items often forgotten, glasses that we could have a drink in the room and not use plastic tumblers etc. These little extras made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good, and the fact that Sarah made the effort to learn your names, remember whether you preferred tea or coffee and had a nice chat about the previous day's happenings made you feel that they really cared and added to the great experience. We hope to be back.
We have just had a fantastic few days at Easedale Lodge. The weather was beautiful, only matched by the lovely accommodation. Sarah set us up for the day with an amazing breakfast each day. Many Thanks!! Warm and cosy would be my thoughts on the accom. Everything provided in abundance. Tea, coffee, soaps and shampoos. Parking is a plus.
We have stayed at Easedale Lodge on a number of occasions and each time as we leave we are thinking about when we can visit again! It is a lovely place to stay with very friendly and welcoming owners. Sarah and Dave do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is excellent. The house is spotlessly clean, warm and beautifully furnished and is in a great location being right in the centre of Ambleside. Can't wait to go back.
The owners, Sarah and Dave are welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable, nonintrusive and passionate about Ambleside preservation.
The guest house occupies an unrivalled position, at the heart of the village, yet with a beautiful and peaceful aspect overlooking a charming little park and Loughrigg Fell in the distance, while still extremely convenient for shops, restaurants, pubs and buses.
Very clean and well maintained B&B with a nice view over the hills. Sarah and Dave are extremely friendly hosts. It really makes you feel you're at home. The breakfast is excellent and you can park your car on the premises. This is the place to stay at Ambleside.
My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights as part of our honeymoon, I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are all very nice and quiet, and the breakfasts in the morning are delicious. The owners, Sarah and Dave, were very welcoming and gave us great tips on things to do around town during our stay. It was by far our favourite stop on our honeymoon.
We have just returned from a wonderful weekend in Ambleside and stayed at Easedale Lodge. Sarah and Dave are fantastic hosts, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Our room was spotless...lovely furnishings and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. Lots of nice pubs and places to eat in Ambleside.
We stayed at the Easedale Lodge in Ambleside for a few days and were made welcome by Sarah and Dave from the moment we stepped through the door.
The room was lovely as were the breakfasts and nothing was too much trouble.
It is ideally situated for the town centre and all the bars and restaurants and the cinemas are just round the corner. A great place to stay, we'll definitely visit again.
Welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts, myself and my daughter had a lovely three night stay whilst hiking in the area. I chose this B&B purely on location and car parking facilities and could not believe my good fortune when I was welcomed so warmly by Sarah and Dave into their beautiful home. Our two rooms were perfect, breakfast fantastic, lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay so easy. Sarah filled our flasks with coffee every morning and gave us lots of suggestions on walking routes and places to eat in the evening. Can't wait to return!
We had the cosy double which had a separate bathroom rather than on suite but this suited us. We had a wonderful welcome and were given great guidance on walks, restaurants & pubs. The room was comfortable and we slept well, breakfast was fabulous - the full English & the full Veggie! We would thoroughly recommend staying here :)
Stayed at Easedale Lodge for the weekend and had a lovely stay again. Stayed back in February 2015 as well and the stay was just as enjoyable.
Great location in the centre of Ambleside and close to shops and a good choice of restaurants. Very nice bedrooms and friendly owners. Nice breakfast too. Would recommend the B&B and happily stay again.
My wife and I visited Ambleside for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We stayed at Easedale Lodge on Compston Road with the proprietors Dave and Sarah who we must say will be very hard to beat on everything from friendliness, cleanliness and good quality food. Very central for all destinations and we will stay again when we visit, it's a musssst.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a two night stay here and cannot fault it one bit. As soon as we arrived Sarah greeted us and gave us some great tips about where to go and what to see in the local area. Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The delicious full English is a must have in the morning! I would recommend Easedale Lodge to anyone visiting the Lake District and will definitely be staying again in the future.
We have stayed at Easedale Lodge many times and it is always a very enjoyable experience.
Very nice rooms and a great breakfast.
The location is perfect for walking the hills around Ambleside, good pubs restaurants etc.
Thanks again Sarah and Dave for putting up with us all.
Our first time staying at Easedale Lodge and Ambleside, what a great experience it was. Both Sarah and Dave were very welcoming when we arrived and quickly had us settled into our room. Room was pleasant, comfortable and kept to a very high standard.
Throughout our stay the owners provided us with some great information on the local area, recommended walks, where to eat and drink etc. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
A very enjoyable 4 day break in a beautiful B&B in a beautiful town. We will definitely be returning next year.
Brilliant as always. Sarah and Dave are great hosts and are always friendly and accommodating. Excellent location handy for all the bars and restaurants of Ambleside and of course all the lovely Lakeland walks. The parking is extremely helpful also!
This was our second visit to Easedale Lodge. Sarah and Dave are fantastic hosts who have created a real home from home. The lodge is decorated and furnished to a high standard with a great choice at breakfast. We are looking forward to planning our next visit; this is the best place to stay in Ambleside.
Have stayed at Easedale the last five or six times I've stayed in Ambleside... Sarah & Dave are great hosts while the rooms are not only spotless but extremely tastefully decorated. An ideal location in the centre of the village... will be booking for my next visit.
Could not have asked for a better B&B. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome. The accommodation is spotless and finished to a high standard. There is lots information available about the local restaurants and walks should you need them. Sarah is extremely helpful and cooks a great breakfast! We would not hesitate to stay there again on our next trip up to the lakes!
Room was very well appointed with comfortable furnishings. Bathroom very modern and bedroom retained the classic theme of this Victorian built b&b, high ceilings, bay windows.
Original Victorian fittings such as floor tiles in entrance hall and handmade oak bedroom doors add a real sense of quality to the lodge.
Both the hosts were very friendly and offered advice on local attractions and walks. Breakfast was hearty and well-presented and the location is ideal, one minutes’ walk into the centre of Ambleside and good off road parking available.
Highly recommended, will definitely be back.
Fantastic stay at Easdale Lodge. Sarah and Dave are great hosts, always very friendly and welcoming. Our room, as always, was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. The entire house is beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. Breakfast at Easedale really sets you up for the day. Can't praise this place enough, needless to say we are already planning our next visit there.
